ST-PIERRE-JOLYS, MANITOBA: Peg City Fence Pros, a fencing contractor in Manitoba, has just completed the construction of a baseball diamond in Parc Carillon, a park located in the village of St-Pierre-Jolys.
The baseball diamond, which is the second diamond located within the park, is the first baseball diamond ever constructed by Peg City Fence Pros. The baseball diamond was constructed due to an increase in demand from the local minor league, as well as a drop in supply; there were baseball diamonds at St. Malo School, but these diamonds were removed to allow the school to expand further.
The diamond was constructed using funds from the village’s 2024 budget, as well as funds from the village’s reserves and $20,000 in in-kind contributions. Peg City Fence Pros constructed the diamond on time and on budget, giving the citizens of St-Pierre-Jolys a new baseball diamond with which to enjoy minor league games as well as casual pickup games.
